URB Group plans to spend USD 65 million to build a bearing factory in India


URB Group, the European bearing manufacturer, announced that it will spend US$65 million to build a manufacturing plant in India. The new plant will initially produce 1,000 tons of bearing products each year.


Harun Adiguzel, President of URB India, stated: “The new plant is located in Rajasthan, Rajasthan, India. It is expected to be operational by the end of 2013. In the early stages of operation, it will produce 1,000 tons of bearings each year, and its capacity will double in the future.”


In addition, 70% of the new plant's initial production capacity will be used to meet the demand of the domestic market in India. The remaining products will be exported to Europe and the United States. The ratio of the products sold to domestic and foreign countries will gradually be balanced in the future. .


When talking about the company’s operating income, HarunAdiguzel said: “The URB India company’s current turnover has exceeded US$20 million, and we plan to use the new factory to achieve a turnover of US$200 million over the next five years.”


After the completion of the URB Group's new plant in India, it will become the company’s fourth plant in the world. The company currently has a plant in Romania, Turkey and Hungary respectively.
