·Guizhou Province will carry out methanol vehicle pilot

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Letter on agreeing to the pilot of methanol vehicle in Guizhou Province" and formally agreed to carry out the pilot project of methanol vehicles in Guizhou.
At present, Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government are vigorously building ecological civilization and building a national demonstration zone for ecological civilization, which puts higher requirements on energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection. The development of clean energy vehicles such as methanol is in line with the state's requirements for Guizhou to “hold the two bottom lines of development and ecology”.
In recent years, Guizhou methanol has formed an annual capacity of 1.7 million tons. The pilot of methanol vehicle can not only make full use of resource advantages, but also lay the foundation for the development of methanol coal chemical industry and the introduction of methanol automobile production base project, develop Guizhou economy, and also create conditions for improving the quality of Guizhou's atmospheric environment and promoting the construction of ecological civilization in Guizhou.
Methanol vehicles are vehicles that use methanol as their main fuel. They can also be fueled by gasoline or gasoline-methanol mixed fuel. They are a new type of car with energy-saving and environmentally-friendly technology that can be flexibly converted from methanol-gasoline fuel.
The environmental advantages of methanol vehicles:
First, methanol belongs to biofuels, that is, the fuel produced by plants is a renewable resource. The use of methanol vehicles can save non-renewable resources (oil);
