The Duolun Coal Chemical Project is located in Duolun County, Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is based on the Xilinhaote Dongli No. 2 Coal Mine and the brown coal in the Wujianfang Coal Mine. It utilizes world-leading coal dry powder gasification technology, syngas purification technology, and large-scale methanol synthesis. Technology, methanol to propylene technology and propylene polymerization technology to produce chemical products. The designed capacity of the project is to produce 460,000 tons of polypropylene annually, 180,000 tons of gasoline by-product, 36,000 tons of LPG, and 38,000 tons of sulfur.
According to the announcement, in the first half of 2011, the Duolun Coal Chemical Project has achieved the success of two successful gasifiers, the successful completion of a single feed of the methanol-to-propylene (MTP) reactor system, and the production of important components such as olefins for qualified components. A major breakthrough has been made in the core technology research of Duolun Coal Chemical Project. In June 2011, the project had produced qualified methanol; on September 28, 2011, the Duolun Coal Chemical Project achieved the complete flow of the entire plant and produced the end-product qualified polypropylene; March 16, 2012, Duolun Coal The chemical project was officially transferred to trial production.
In addition, Duolun Coal Chemical Project is the first large-scale coal chemical project in the world to use low-quality lignite to produce coal-based olefin products. The project integrates the world's first single-furnace boiler with the largest six-burner Shell brown coal gasification technology in the world, and the control system is complex, making it difficult to control the equipment . The successful operation of Duolun Coal Chemical Project has provided strong support for China's comprehensive utilization of low calorific value brown coal conversion chemical products, provided a good path for the extension of methanol products to the downstream industries, and has important demonstration significance for the rational development of domestic rich lignite resources.
