Copper ore processing technology tests can be roughly divided into the following two types:
I. Preliminary optional test: generally carried out in the preliminary exploration stage. For some new types of deposits, it will be carried out in the detailed census stage. The goal is to understand the optional properties of the ore. The sample weighs 50-500 kg.
Second, the detailed optional test: generally should be carried out in the detailed exploration stage, and sometimes also in the preliminary exploration stage, especially new types or complex deposits, should be studied in advance. It is mainly to obtain detailed information on the optional performance of ore and a more comprehensive beneficiation method and process, and to evaluate the industrial possibilities and economic rationality of the determined beneficiation process. The sample weighs 500-1000 kg.
It should be noted here that the samples tested by the copper ore processing technology should be representative in terms of ore type, grade and spatial distribution, and also consider the depletion rate during mining. Generally, samples are taken separately according to each ore type, and mixed test samples are also composed according to the proportion of each ore type. Copper ore processing technology test samples can be taken in the tunnel and can be taken in the borehole without tunnels. After the completion of the copper ore processing technology test, a test report on the ore processing technology shall be submitted as an annex to the geological exploration report. When the nature of the ore is complex and requires semi-industrial test research, the sampling and testing work is carried out by the relevant industrial department, and the geological exploration unit assists in the preparation of the sampling design. The copper ore processing sampling shall be jointly negotiated with the responsible testing unit to prepare the sampling design, and the opinions of the mine design and production department shall be solicited. For deposits with new ore types or complex ore components, if necessary, laboratory expansion tests are required, and the samples are generally several tons.
The above-mentioned test results of copper ore processing technology also provide a basis for determining the copper ore industry indicators. Thus, the importance of ore processing technology experiments in the geological exploration process is obvious.
