This week at WWDC, Apple's annual developer conference, Apple showed some new features and capabilities to be used on iOS and MacOSX8. The integration between horizontal mobile and desktop operating systems looks impressive, but perhaps Apple should focus on how to provide Windows users with iOS devices.
Apple revealed some cool features, such as the blurred lines between mobile devices and the desktop. MacOSX has been able to send and receive messages on Apple's proprietary SMS service, but Yosemite will be able to send SMS messages to the user's iPhone. The new version of MacOSX is also able to view caller information on the iPhone and make and receive calls directly from the computer.
These are very awesome features. But Mac users are a relatively small market, the most miss is iOS users. MacOSX has gained some market share in recent years, but it is still hovering below 10%. On the other hand, iOS has been the dominant force in the initial iPhone since the advent of mobile devices. As a result, most iOS users do not actually use MacOSX. A recent report from inBusinessInsider shows that 50% of Windows users also have an Apple device.
