The soil drought monitoring system can achieve real-time data collection of soil moisture content, evaporation, precipitation, and temperature, and report the collected data to the central station through the GPRS wireless network; drought severity ranking based on BP neural network algorithm through the central station The model assesses the drought situation data reported by the telemetering terminal in real time and realizes drought forecasting and forecasting, which provides a basis for timely and effective prevention and control measures for local drought resistance.

The monitoring of drought by the soil drought monitoring system is mainly about the collection of soil moisture content. The steps for the detection of farmland soil moisture content are as follows:
(1) Choose a place that is flat, soil is more uniform, away from the gully, or a place that is significantly moister or drier than the surrounding soil as a test point, then dig a 0.5m or so earth pit, and select the soil where the pit wall is dense. 10cm, 20cm and 40cm small depth installation of soil moisture sensor. Changes in a certain range, which is related to soil water distribution at the monitoring site of Xiaotong, but the soil moisture content of the entire soil layer is within a certain range; the field measured value at each site is slightly different from the measured value of the drying method, and the field measurement value is small.
